Dia 28 de Março de 2018 Seminar: Built Environment, Physical Activity and Health Environmental contributors to physical activity and other health outcomes are receiving great attention in the literature. With this Seminar, we aim to bring diverse perspectives to get a better understanding of this emerging research area. Chair: Maria Paula Santos, PhD, FADEUP. 10:00: Health and urban planning, a happy marriage? Daniel Casas Valle is an urbanist, PhD at the Faculty of Architecture, Porto University. With a broad experience based on urban planning practices and academic activities, he is more than 20 years connected within the field of urbanism, as a urban designer, planner and researcher. Currently, he is working at various projects at his office Urban Dynamics and at the MDT/CEAU/FAUP as a researcher. 11:30: Active transport among children and adolescents Andreia Pizarro is a PhD in Physical Activity and Health. She is currently a Pos Doctoral Researcher at CIAFEL. Her research interests are mainly related to the role of the built environment on active behaviors across the life course. 15:00: Socioeconomic inequalities in green space quality and accessibility - a challenge for making cities physical activity-friendly. Ana Isabel Ribeiro is a Geographer, PhD in Public Health, and she is currently a Research Associate at ISPUP. She is particularly interested in understanding how the place of residence influences individuals' health and behaviors and in evaluating the socioeconomic inequalities in health.
